After our sunny stint in Sevilla, it was time to head north. We jogged up through western Spain and Basque country for a pilgrimage to Bordeaux, then headed to Paris for baguettes, Brie, and Bastille Day. Next, after a quick stop in Champagne for some bubbly sampling, we hit Brussels, the southern Netherlands and Amsterdam, and Hamburg. For this section, which covers the months of June and July, we share the writing.
